This tournament apparently doesn't allow killing. What exactly was Piccolo's plan when he decided to charge up a 3 minute long,seemingly full powered Makansappo/Special Beam Cannon against Frost? Presumably shoot him in a non-vital part of the body that would make him unable to battle, but not kill him? Unfortunately where would that be? He was charging that thing all the way and when it was released, it was a pretty big blast as well. To me, any part of Frost that got hit by that would've been taken clear off, arm, leg, head, shoulder. I simply see no way that Piccolo could hit any part of Frosts body (bar the tail perhaps) and not do an excessive amount of damage. Was it ever said why Piccolo even used it? I've really only seen some clips so I don't know if Piccolo had been forced into some corner where an amped attack was the only way to even hurt Frost. Considering Freeza survived being cut in half, left with basically no energy, hit by a kamehameha (or just a generic blast), and then survived a planet exploding WHILE losing half his head, I think Frost could survive having one of his limbs taken off.

I know Gohan is popular stateside (I find him boring and annoying) but he's not fit for the role. I tried watching GT, and that whole passing the torch thing (Pan...Trunks...ugh) just didn't work for me.

Sounds quite risky even if Frost could survive it. I mean what does Piccolo say to the ones running the tournament? Announcer: Contestant Piccolo has been disqualified for lethal force. Piccolo: Bulls***! The rules says no killing! The only thing I did was take off his arm, he'll live! Just put some ointment on it.
